Buffalo Grove area veterans were honored with a complimentary luncheon and program on Veterans Day at the Community Arts Center in the northwest suburb. Expected to attend were 50 to 100 people, said Brian O'Malley, recreation supervisor for the Barrington Park District. He said this year marked the 18th Veterans Day celebration by the Buffalo Grove Park District. 'It is a very special event because we are able to honor the service member's achievements and thank them for their courage and dedication in serving our country,' O'Malley said.
