Six local football teams qualify for IHSA playoffsDennis Mathes/Journal-CourierThe Illinois High School Association has announced football playoff qualifiers for the 2022 postseason.Routt (7-2), Jacksonville (6-3) and Greenfield-Northwestern (8-1) were all automatic qualifiers with six wins or more. Greenfield-NW officially qualified by winning the WIVC-South championship. Beardstown, Brown County and Calhoun each finished 5-4 but had enough playoff points to qualify. The cutoff for 5-4 teams was 30 playoff points.
